Genuine migrants ignored in Jagti flat allotment: Pandits

JAMMU, July 19: Jagti Tenement Committee has alleged corruption in Relief Organization in allotment of quarters at Jagti Migrant camp Nagrota.
Addressing media persons here today, Jagti Tenement Committee president Shadi Lal Pandita said that the genuine migrants have been ignored and deprived of allotment of quarters in the Jagti Migrant camps by the concerning authority.
He mentioned that at allotment of quarters in favour of migrants has been made after receiving amounts to the tune of Rs 20000 to Rs 30000 by the authority at the helm of affairs in violation of rules and regulations.
He also quoted number of instance where the genuine Kashmiri Pandits migrants were ignored in allotment of quarters at Jagti Township. He also alleged that thousands of ration cards have bee issued fraduantly to benefit vested interested persons for which zonal officers and camp commandants were responsible.
He demanded that the families in Nagrota camp, Mishriwalla camp, Purkhoo camp who were left out should be alloted TRT at Jagti immediately, the shopkeepers who were running their shops in Jagti migrants camps immediately, no unscheduled power cuts, no agreement for electricity, Government of India should pay liabilities as it was already being paid by Central Government from last 20 years of migration, establishment of 4 ration depots in Jagti camp, providing a firewood for cremation of the dead bodies, construction of cremation ground with proper facilities of water storage tank, establishment of police post, Kerosene Oil depot, Zonal officers, temples.
Pandita demanded CBI investigation in the whole matter and prevailing corruption in relief organization.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Piaray Lal, Kuldeep Koul, Hari Krishan, Bushan Lal Raina, Nath Ji Pandita and Rattan Lal Koul beside others.
