| Red Cross Society organises 5 days training programe | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 19: A civil defence programme was organised by the Indian Red Cross Society, district branch Jammu at Luthra Academy Hr. Sec. school Kachi Chowni Jammu. The programme will last for five days starting w.e.f 19th till 23 of July 2011, wherein the experts from the Civil Defence started their campaign by imparting Civil Defence cum first aid training. Its objective was to train the Red Cross volunteer to meet any eventuality occurring from floods, earthquakes, accidents, fire accidents etc.
While addressing the gathering Suresh Sharma, Executive sectary district Red Cross Society Jammu threw light on Red Cross, what it is and what it does.
The chief guest of the occasion Jugal Kishore Mahajan spoke on Red Cross and Civil Defence, about its humanitarian endeavor and requested the gathering to do their little bit of humanitarian service.
The function was attended by RCS members, volunteers, and others.
