| 3 members of a family died due to landslide in Kishtwar | | |

kishtwar, July 19: In a tragic incident at Pani Nallah under the jurisdiction of Kishtwar District, three person including two males and a female died when a heavy rain triggered landslide in the area.
When contacted SHO Police Station Kishtwar Mohammad Arif informed that 3 members of a single family died on spot after their house situated in Mohra Panni Nallah some 28 KM from Kishtwar hit by the big boulder after a landslide trigger in the area due to heavy overnight rain fall. He said that the deceased were identified as Ghulam Hassan Moochi (50 Yrs) son of Abdul Jabar Mochi, his wife Zubeida Begum (45 Yrs) and his Son Mohammad Muzzafar (13 years).
Arif said that after receiving the information about this tragic incident, he along with police party from police station Kishtwar rush to the spot and shifted the dead bodies to nearby Thari hospital for autopsy. He said that after autopsy, the bodies were handed over to the family members for last rites. The incident took place at 5.30 AM on Tuesday Morning.
MLA Inderwal GM Sarrori also visited the site of the incident and expressed his heartfelt condolence to the braved family. He also assured them of all possible help from the government in terms of cash and other relief material. |
