| JWAM urges CM not to raise power tariff | | |

Jammu, July 20: Jammu West Assembly Movement has strongly urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who is also having the power portfolio, Electricity Regulatory Commission and to the Union Power PDD Ministry not to hike the power tariff as the ERC which is going to enhance and and is likely to hike the tariff of the electricity from tommorrow.
JWAM president Sunil Dimple also alleged E R C, Power PDD Ministry for its failure to provide un interuppetde power supply and frequent scheduled and un scheduled curtailments, low voltage of the electricity in the winter capital Jammu City and particularly in the Jammu “west assembly constituency” as all the transformers of the constituency are defunct and of under capacity.
In a statement Sunil Dimple president Jammu west assembly movement has warned the the Govt and the E R C that if it hiked power tariff from 21 July, the Movement that has already started in the shape of Jan Andolan against the PDD will get intensified against this move of the Govt.
He demanded the Omar Abdulla and The E R C electricity regulatory Commission not to raise the power tariff as the Jammu Region Is already passing through agreat discriminatory attitude of the coalition govt in the collection of the power Tariff.
