Govt’s casual approach responsible for mounting problems of masses: PDP

SAMBA, July 20: Lambasting State Government for its failure to solve day today problems of the common masses, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today regretted that woes of the people have increased manifold after formation of National Conference led regime in the State.
Addressing a public meeting at Sumb area of Samba organized, PDP pointed towards scarcity of ration, non availability of drinking water and power in the rural areas. They said that the State has been plunged into unprecedented crises due to wrong policies of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, whose inability to connect himself with the people has further deteriorated situation in all over the State.
They mentioned that during the last two and half years, the present dispensation has done nothing to ameliorate lot of the people.
“What to say to mitigating woes of the masses, this regime has further compounded miseries of the people due to its wrong policies”, they said and added this regime has proved total failure in its two and half year tenure.
PDP leaders took the coalition government to task for its failure to provide even ration to the people of Kandi areas. “Scarcity of ration in this belt speaks about the casual approach being adopted by this dispensation towards solving basic problems of the people”, they observed and called upon the party workers to expose this regime before the masses.
They further pointed out that this regime was formed with out any programme and policy and instead of solving basic problems of the common masses, leaders of National Conference have been befooling the people by making false promises.
Terming National Conference as mother of all problems, they said that whenever this party comes to power, alienation of people starts increasing because one and only aim of this party was to enjoy the power by bartering wishes and aspirations of the people.
Sardar Trilok Singh Bajwa, Thakur Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin, Shanti Devi, Pawan Dev Singh, Capt Anil Gour, Chander Slathia, Digvijay Singh, Anita Devi and others addressed the meeting. In the function over two dozen prominent people from Sumb joined Peoples Democratic Party.
