| Police present challan in Durga Nagar Sex Scam | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July-20 (JNF):- Domana Police today presented challan in much publicized Durga Nagar Sex Scam in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu u/s 366-A/ 376/109 RPC against 10 accused including kingpins Santosh Devi and his sister Saroj Devi.
According to the police on May 26, 2011, the prosecutrix lodged a written report to P/S Domana to the effect that the complainant is15/16 years and resident of village of Kishtwar and her parents have expired. She is also having no brother and sister. One Santosh Devi resident of her Village and has married at Durga Nagar Jammu. On the day of Shivratri Santosh Devi visited her house at Kishtwar and told her that she will solemnize her marriage with a handsome boy in Jammu. By enticing the complainant for getting her married by fully knowing that the complainant is a helpless girl brought her to Jammu at Durga Nagar and was forced to illicit inter-course with unknown persons without her consent and now ultimately she has escaped from the clutches of Santosh Devi. On recipet of report a case has been registered under FIR NO 170/2011 u/s 366-A/376 RPC and initiated investigation in the case. During the investigation of the case the complainant disclosed that with criminal intention after enticing her kidnapped her from Kishtwar and brought Durga Nagar Jammu and was forced to illicit intercourse with some persons with whom the alleged accused has contacts and after calling the said persons at her home, the alleged accused use to take the complainant at different places and there she was raped by different said persons to whom the alleged accused persons knows. She further disclosed that she was taken by the alleged accused to Dalhouisi, Patni-Top and Manali also where she was raped by different persons. The prosecutrix during the investigation has been got medically examined from Govt Hospital Sarwal. According to the medical report prosecutrix has been subjected to sexual intercourse and her age as per opinion given by radiologist is about 14 to 16 years. The statement of prosecutrix also recorded u/s 164-A CrPC. Prosecutrix has identified about 7 persons including the application as accused who have raped her on different times at different places at the instance of accused Santosh Devi.
The accused against whom the challan was presented are Mrs. Santosh Devi r/o Durga Nagar, Saroj Devi sister of Santosh Devi, Surjeet Singh @Sonu, Deepak Gupta, Raman Gupta, Pawan Gupta, Bupinder Singh alias Titu, Pardeep Lohria, Ashish Abrol & Ashwani Kumar who is declared absconder and prayed before the Court for issuance General Arrest Warrants 512 CrPC against said accused.
According to investigation conducted by the police in which accused Deepak Gupta, Raman Gupta stated that they had committed rape upon the prosecutrix in a Kud Hotel whereas Pawan Gupta has committed rape with the prosecutrix in his own hotel at Moti-Bazaar whereas Bupinder Singh alias Titu committed rape in his own shop situated at Jewal, Ashish Abrol and Pardeep Lohira committed rape at Trikuta Nagar whereas Surjeet Singh alias Sonu has taken the prtosecutrix to Macloreganj Himachal Pradesh. In the investigation it has been revealed that Kingpin Santosh Devi along with her sister Saroj and Ashwani Kumari hatched a conspiracy and under the criminal conspiracy they bring the prosecutrix to Jammu where king-pin has started Sex-Racket. In the challan the police prayed before the Court that there are some more persons allegedly involved in this case and their identification prayed will conduct and some witnesses and documentary evidence u/s 173 (8) CrPC supplementary challan will be presented later on in the Court.
