AJKLTF extends support to Kaam Chhodo Hartal call of JCC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 20: All Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) has decided to support Kaam Chhodo Hartal call of State government employees. In a meeting of the Federation which was held under the leadership of its President Balwan Singh Jamwal, the members supported the two days Kaam Chhod Hartal. They appealed to the teachers, employees/workers of the state to “Kaam Chhod Hartal” call given by the JCC on 5th and 6th of August to express their solidarity with the State Govt Employees. Federation members appealed to the employees, teachers/workers to remain united and be vigilant from the forces working against the broader unity of the State Government Employees. The members also raised demand of release of 6th Pay Commission arrears in two instalments on the pattern of central govt employees, issuance of orders for regularization of daily wagers contractual adhoc employees who have completed seven years of service, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years and removal of anomalies of different cadres of state Govt employees. Members of the federation with one voice strongly condemn the brutal lathi charge and use of force by the State Govt on peacefully demonstrating employees for their just and genuine demands in which hundred of employees were injured few of them got serious injuries and thousands were arrested. They warn the State Govt not to use the force against the peacefully demonstrating employees in future. Members of the federation also condemn the adamant behavior of the State Govt dealing with the State Govt Employees and advise the State Govt to shun the path of the confrontation and settle the demand of the employees on the on the negotiation table. They said if Govt fails to concede the genuine demands of the employee, employees will be left with no alternative then to adopt the path of agitation. Members of the federation
