Registration compulsory for undertaking pilgrimage: SASB | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, July 21: Chief Executive Officer of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) R K Goyal, has reiterated his appeal to all those who intend to undertake the pilgrimage to the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji to obtain a Yatra Permit before embarking on the pilgrimage to avoid facing serious inconvenience on arrival in the State. He emphasized that the pilgrims must embark on the Yatra strictly as per the dates and the routes specified in their Yatra Permits, clarifying that instructions had been issued to ensure against any unregistered Yatri being allowed to proceed towards the Holy Cave, under any circumstances.
The CEO further said that as per the Meteorological Department’s weather forecast for July 22 to 26: it would be partly cloudy on July 22, generally cloudy sky on July 23 and there is a possibility of light rain/thundershower on 24th July and generally cloudy sky with rain/thundershowers on July 25 and 26 in the Kashmir Division.
Goyal has advised all those who intend to visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji to ascertain the obtaining weather conditions in the Yatra area before embarking on the pilgrimage. The details of weather forecast are available on the website of the Indian Meteorological Department, at (www.amssdelhi.gov.in). The CEO disclosed that the Yatra to the Holy Cave Shrine is progressing satisfactorily on both the Baltal and Chandanwari routes since today morning.
