| IED detected, defused on Jammu-Poonch highway | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, July 21: Security forces averted a tragedy today after they detected an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Darah-Jallas area in Mendhar on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway in Poonch district.
During a sanitation operation by Road Opening Party (ROP) of the army, the device was found on the highway, officials said.
The Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the spot and defused the device safely, they added.
