JAMMU, Jul 21: Re-organisation of the state on the basis of geographical, cultural and social identities alongwith creation of separate assemblies for Kashmir, Ladakh and Jammu is the only durable solution to prevailing problems of discrimination in the state.
This was stated by working chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Harshdev Singh in a handout issued here today. Singh asked party leaders and workers to carry extensive campaign in the state to explain re-organisation agenda of the party. He also laid emphasis on taking the fight for making Central University functional in Jammu to its logical conclusion
Party condemned UPA Union government for repeatedly raising prices of cooking gas, kerosene, diesel and petrol. JKNPP working committee appreciated its chairman Prof. Bhim Singh for filing writ petition in the Supreme Court of India challenging the policy of resettlement of PaK trained terrorists in the state which has the potential of destroying the secular fabric and endangering security of the state.
Those who spoke in the working committee meeting included Harshdev Singh MLA (working Chairman), Daljit Singh, Bansi Lal Sharma, Anita Thakur, Syed Mohd. Rafiq Shah, Hari Chand jalmerai, Shanti Swaroop Basotra, Rajinder Singh Manju, Jagdev Singh, Shiv Charan Singh, Shri Shanker Singh Chib, S. Paramjeet Singh, Balwan Singh, Rajesh Padgotra, Naresh Chib, Saleem Sheik, Shanker Singh, Hari Singh, Rajinder Manhas, Jagdev Singh Mian kamal Singh Jamwal, Dilawar Rishi and others.
Meanwhile, Spokesman and State General Secretary of the Party Shri Hari Chand Jalmeria Advocate has strongly condemned the state government for resorting to lathicharge on the state government employees who were taking out a peaceful march in support of their demands at Srinagar not sparing the women employees even. The anti-workers class policy of the government is apparent from this action.
Jalmeria asked the government to immediately concede the genuine demands of the employees and not to resort to confrontations approach. Jalmeria also condemned the government for resorting to lathicharge on the students who were peacefully protesting for opening of Central University in Jammu under the banner of NPUS.
