| Police-Public meet held at Lakhanpur | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, July 21: In a bid to curb the growing menace of drug smuggling and traffic mismanagement, a police-public meet was held at police station Lakhanpur the other day.
On the occasion, besides SHO Lakhanpur Chanchal Singh and other police officials, a large number of locals were present.
The participants deliberated in detail on the steps and measures to be ubndertaken to check the crime related incidents
The meeting laid emphasis on rooting out the growing problems of drugs addiction among the youth, the ineffective management of the traffic control system and the overloading and time harassment to the passengers by the matadors.
The prominent people of Lakhanpur who joined the meeting are Sanjay Sharma, Ashwani, Prem Mehta, and Surrender Mehta, Tara Chand, Sheetu Sharma, Bittu Sharma, Pardeep Singh and others. They assured the police to extend their cooperation in rooting out crime and criminals. |
