Rohit levels serious allegations against Kewal Pandit | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jul 21: Rohit Chopra son of late Rajinder Bhushan Chopra in his statement recorded under section 164-A CrPC before court of city Judge Jammu has leveled serious allegations against Kewal Pandit, Ajab Singh and Raju Simblia. In his statement, he said that his father was working at Railway Station Jammu for loading and unloading of cement. He said that his father was also owner of Cement Factories at Bari-Brahmana, Samba, Udhampur, Srinagar and Leh. According to him in the year 1992, his family shifted to Delhi and business of Railway Station Jammu was being looked after by H.P.Singh. In the year 1998, they came back to Jammu and his father looked-after factories while loading and unloading work at Railway Station was looking after by HP Singh. In the year 2006, H.P.Singh had to pay huge amount to pay Ajab Singh, Raju Simblia and Babby. Due to this H.P. Singh was disturbed and one of our Firms namely KR Traders which was situated at Manwal, Ajab Singh has taken from the Kuldeep Raj. This caused huge loss to his father, following which he stopped paying high rates to Ajab Singh and Raju Simblia. He also stopped vehicles of Ajab Singh. Work of KR Traders Manwal was taken back from Ajab Singh and HP Singh was sent to Srinagar for look-after of the work of Sleepers. According to the statement of Rohit Chopra, his father was not interested in fertilizer and FCI works. However, he decided to take up works of FCI which were earlier being done by Nagar Singh and Tirlochan Singh Wazir. According to Rohit, when these persons came to know that his father desired to file tenders for FCI work in the month of May 2006, they tried to remove his father from the work of Railway Station. In the month of June 2006, He (Rohit Chopra) along with his father went to the house of Tirlochan Singh Wazir. Wazir asked the Rohit Chopra to stay outside the house. After 10-15 minutes, his father came out and was very disturbed. On being asked, Rohit's father referred to work of Railway Station. In the month of July 2006, when We (Rohit Chopra and Puneet Chopra) were collecting papers for study in Australia, during search of some papers, they found a file in the room of his father in which blank stamp-papers and Hundi on which signature and name of Ajab Singh was there, when they asked their father about that papers, he told that this is due to the business and in the last week of July they went to Delhi and on August 3, 2006 they left for Australia. According to the statement of Rohit Chopra, during the stay in Australia, they would often talk to their father over telephone. One fine day, when they rang up at their home, they found their mother disturbed. It was also submitted that his father was disturbed due to the work of Railway station. In the lengthy statement of Rohit Chopra son of Late Rajiv Bhushan Chopra, he said that days after the murder of his family members, Kewal Pandit told them that his father had to pay Rs 20 lakhs to Raju Simblia. On hearing this, they told Kewal Pandit that they had not seen entry in account books and were not going to pay anything to Raju Simblia. Upon this Kewal Pandit threatened them if they will not pay the said amount to Raju Simblia, they would be eliminated. After this Ajab Singh called them to his house asking them to pay Rs 20 lakhs to Raju Simblia. A few days later, Kewal Pandit and Ajab Singh compelled them to pay Rs 20 lakhs to Raju Simblia. He also said that above said persons can be allegedly involved in the murder of his father, sister and mother. --JNF |
