| KSSSC levels allegations against Azad | | | Jammu Nov 28 Jammu Kashmir State Samaj Sudhar Committee has alleged Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and his two predecessors, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Dr. Farooq Abdullah of grabbing government land for construction of their residential Houses. Addressing a press conference president of the Committee Mohammad, Yousuf Wani leveled serious allegations against the three and challenged Azad to first clear his own position and then lay his hands on the land grabbers. Wani said, that both former Chief Ministers Mufti Sayed Dr. Farooq Abdullah have grabbed state land for residential purposes and the present Chief Minister is also planning to construct a hose on a peace of forest land in Bithandi Jammu. Wani also criticized the government for putting huge burden on people by installing electronic meters and its failure in providing round the clock power supply to them. Electronic meters are sucking the economically poor public who couldn’t bear such heavy expenses, he added. He appeals to the govt. to remove such electric meters which are not functioning properly. He warned of launching a mass agitation in case government failed to keep its promise of providing round the clock power supply in the areas where Electronic meters have been installed. Highlighting the activities of his organization, Wani said it has been fighting against socials evils like dowry for last so many years. He said it got 50 cases registered of excess on women for bringing fewer dowries. |
