JKPL final on July 28 at Srinagar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 22: The much awaited final of the inaugural edition of the Jammu and Kashmir Premier Twenty20 League (JKPL), organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), shall take place at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar on July 28. The title clash between Kishen Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) Jammu and Kashmir Gymkhana shall be declared open by the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and in the valedictory function, to be held at 1 pm, Governor, NN Vohra has consented to be the chief guest. “The winner of this prize money event will be rich by Rs 5 lakh while the runners-up shall be presented Rs 3 lakh. Other individual performers would also be awarded suitably by the JKCA,” said chairman of media and external affairs, Ranjit Kalra. In all, 64 teams from Jammu and an equal number from Kashmir contested in this tournament which held in June last year. As per the insiders, to witness the final, top officials of the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) are also expected to grace the occasion.
