| 5 held with illicit liquor at Katra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATRA, July 22: Five persons were arrested by police while trying to smuggle illicit liquor here today. They were identified as Uttam Chand, son of Om Prakash of Pongal, Baldev Singh, son of Dharam Singh of Bhagta, Jaipal Singh, son of Sansar Singh of Bhagta, Taminder Singh, son of Gurdyal Singh of Chintamani, and Sanju Singh alias Kaka, son of Hans Singh of Bhambla, Reasi.
The sale and purchase of liquor is strictly banned in the holy Katra township.
Police said the accused were arrested on the Katra railway road. A case was
registered against them at the Katra police station.
