| No unregistered Yatri will be allowed: SASB | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Jul 22: Declaring that registration was compulsory for undertaking the pilgrimage, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) warned that no Yatri without '' Yatra Permit'' would be allowed from base camps. So far majority of the more than five lakh pilgrims who had darshan of the self-made Ice-Shivlingam in the cave shrine, situated at 13500 feet in south Kashmir Himalyas since June 29, were not registered. The pilgrimage was going on smoothly from both the Baltal and the traditional Nunwan Pahalgam base camps as about 10000 more yatris left for the holy Cave this morning. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SASB R K Goyal said that registration was compulsory for undertaking pilgrimage. He reiterated his appeal to all those who intend to undertake the pilgrimage to the Holy Cave to obtain a Yatra Permit before embarking on the pilgrimage to avoid facing serious inconvenience on arrival in the state. He emphasized that the pilgrims must embark on the Yatra strictly as per the dates and the routes specified in their Yatra Permits, clarifying that instructions had been issued to ensure against any unregistered Yatri being allowed to proceed towards the Holy Cave, under any circumstances. CEO further said that as per the Met department's weather forecast for today to July 26, it would be partly cloudy today, generally cloudy sky tomorrow and there is a possibility of light rain or thundershower on July 24 and generally cloudy sky with rain/thundershowers on July 25 and 26, 2011, in the Kashmir Division.
