| Three workshops concludes at Banyan tree school | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 23: In its endeavor to empower the teachers three workshops were held in the school premises of Banyan tree school.
The first workshop was conducted by Narinder Bhatia, a teacher educator’ from ‘Centre for Innovation and Excellence in Education, CIEE, Delhi’ on teachers excellence.
The workshop enlightened the teachers about the ways and means to attain excellence in the field of teaching. It stressed upon the fact that the teachers need to aspire for higher goals, i.e. from being a good teacher to a great teacher.
The other workshop aimed to develop, ‘Effective Communication Skills’ and ‘Professionalism’ amongst teachers. Managing oneself through ‘Transactional Analysis’ was explained through activities with the objective of achieving better team work.
The concluding workshop focused upon ‘Classroom Management’ through in depth understanding of students learning and behavioral patterns.
All the workshops elicited an overwhelming response from attending teachers. Overall stress was laid upon being a special teacher, who moulds the life of a child.
