JAMMU, July 23:
In a broad day light snatching incident, an elderly woman was robbed off her ear rings by two youth in Lower Roop Nagar area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Janipura.
According to police sources, ear rings of an old woman was snatched by two unidentified motorbike borne youth on Saturday morning at Lower Roop Nagar.
The 65 years old woman identified as Vijaya Razdan wife of Ashok Razdan of Lower Roop Nagar was on way to purchase milk when two unidentified motorcyclists appeared from nowhere and snatched her gold ear rings valuing Rs 40,000. After committing the crime, the youth fled from the spot, the sources added
Due to the forceful snatching, the victim sustained minor injuries.
Police have registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
