| Youth hangs self to death | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 23
A 26-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself from the hook of a ceiling fan in Digiana area on Saturday noon.
According to police sources, Mukesh Kumar son of Girdhari Sharma hanged himself from a ceiling fan. He was driver and had been under some mental distress, quoting his family members, police sources said.
No suicide note has been found from the spot, source said adding he was noticed hanging by members of his family who accordingly informed police. The youth was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
A case in this connection has been registered and inquest proceedings are on, sources maintained.
