| SDM administers oath to Sarpanches, Panches in Basantgarh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
BASANTGARH (UDH), July 23:
The newly elected Sarpanches and Panches of four prominent Panchayats in Dudu Basantgarh Sub Division were administered oath by Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) here today in a simple but impressive function.
SDM Amit Sharma administered the oath to Sarpanches and Panches at Community Hall Basantgarh, headquarters of the Sub Division in the presence of a large number of locals and prominent citizens in the first phase.
A special feature of this oath taking ceremony was that around 13 female Panches took oath with great enthusiasm and one very young Sarpanch who is hardly 29 years old, namely Mohd Farooq from Loudhra took the oath with the mission to devote whole life towards public welfare.
The oath taking ceremony lasted for more than one and half hours in which Manzoor Ahmed, Sarpanch Basantgarh Panchayat along with eight Panches, Mohd Farooq, Sarpanch Loudhra Panchayat alongwith six Panches, Tirath Ram, Sarpanch Upper Balota Panchayat alongwith six Panches and Saif-ud-Din, Sarpanch Mang alongwith ten Panches were administrated oath by SDM Amit Sharma who made it a point that maximum amongst them read out the full text of oath by themselves thereby exhibiting a strong resolve towards ushering a new era of development in various Panchayats of Dudu Basantgarh.
In the concluding address to the newly elected Sarpanches and Panches after the completion of oath taking ceremony, SDM Amit Sharma congratulated all of them with the expectation that all of them will act as agents of visible change in these Panchayats. He strongly advised all of them to lead by example and work relentlessly towards common goal of development and upliftment of masses in their respective Panchayats.
