Panthers urges regional parties to forge new alliance | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 24: Chairman, Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Prof Bhim Singh today urged the regional leadership in the country to read the writing on the walls of new India that there lies an urgent need to forge an alternative to the present national combinations of political parties to address the aspirations of the young generation. While addressing the Members of the national council of JKNPP, Prof Singh said that new political permutations are necessary in order to fill the vacuum created by the utter failure of UPA and NDA led by the Congress and BJP respectively. He said both these national alliances have failed to check corruption, criminalization, price hikes and communalism in the country leaving the Governance to the unwanted and tainted characters only to add to the miseries of the helpless and suffering masses. Panther Chief proposed to constitute confederation of regional parties to fight out corruption, communalism and price hike. He made a strong appeal to the regional leadership to join the process so that the people may see an alternative to NDA and UPA. The Panthers Chief welcomed the meeting of the foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan to build bridges of peace between New Delhi and Islamabad. He said Panthers Party made a daring proposal that the two countries should allow across the LoC movement of the local residents by passport without visa formalities as was done before 1957. Prof Bhim Singh also urged the political parties in the country to support the movement of JKNPP to seek reorganization of J&K so as to ensure justice; social, political and economic to all the three regions of the state. Prof Bhim Singh has appealed to units of National Panthers Students Union all over the state and in the rest of the country to support the students movement of Jammu region for appointment of Vice Chancellor in non existent central University of Jammu sanctioned by an Act of Parliament. The Panthers Chief declared the NPP activists shall launch a nation wide movement in support of the Jammu central University to express solidarity with the students of Jammu agitating on the roads for 23 days facing lathies and bullets of authoritarian anti-people Govt in J&K. |
