Early Times Report
jammu, July 24: The alleged links of some Indian journalists and intellectuals with the ISI run operation to carry out propaganda on Kashmir separatist Ghulam Nabi Fai is being viewed seriously by the nationalist forces in J&K who besides seeking immediate resignation of Dilip Padgoankar as head of the interlocutors on Kashmir have also demanded action against the other people from India involved in this operation.
Not only the BJP but various other organizations have voiced their concern over the role these journalists and intellectuals who they alleged were a party to India propaganda launched by ISI through separatist leader Fai.
They while demanding a thorough probe in their role have also sought immediate sacking of Dilip Padgoankar as the leader of three member group of interlocutors on Kashmir. While challenging the authenticity of Padgoankar to head the interlocutors on Kashmir said that how a person can be expected to play a positive role in settling the issue when he is already linked to the separatists.
These organizations while doubting the intentions of the interlocutors said this was the reason that they spoke the language of separatists than that of nationalist forces in J&K.
Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM) an organization of displaced Pandits while taking serious exception to the alleged links of Padgoankar and Co with Fai and ISI agents said that this was the main reason that they were trying to give a clean chit to terrorists and separatists on exodus of seven lakh Kashmiri Hindus from Valley and holding the then Governor Jagmohan for the same. Vichar Manch leaders Ajay Bharti and Ashok Kangan said that it was on the behest of the ISI some political leaders from various parties also launched a vilification campaign against Jagmohan by holding him responsible for the mass exodus of Pandits from Valley.
The JKVM leaders while regretting the role of these leaders said instead of going to facts they also tried to malign the image of Jagmohan for their vested interests. The Manch while asking Padgoankar to quit said no formula on resolution of Kashmir issue given by the interlocutors would be acceptable to the nationalist forces in the state as the role of Padgoankar has come into question.
Not only the JKVM but other KP organizations including All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC), Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC), Panun Kashmir (PK), Non Camp Migrant Organisation, All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) , Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) have also expressed the same opinion on the issue. The leaders of these organization have demanded a thorough probe into the matter and action under law against the people having links with the ISI agents.
These KP organizations also criticized the Government of India on opening track two diplomacy and back channel diplomacy to settle the Kashmir issue saying the people involved in such channels of diplomacy have always stabbed the nation in the back. They also express concern over the silence maintained by the Union Government on the issue.
The US has taken action against Fai but Indian Government is looking as mute spectator and it has till date failed take action on Afzal Guru a dreaded terrorist and master mind of Parliament attack in 2001, Ajmal Kasab and many other dreaded terrorists.
Asking the Union Government to take a cue from US, the KP organizations urged it to act and take a strong action against the terrorists as well as agents of ISI and Pakistan active on Indian soil in lamb's clothes. The Union Government should act before it is too late said Kundan Kashmiri president KPC.
