| IGP reviews railways functioning | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July 25: IGP Railways J&K Farooq Ahmad visited Railway Police Lines Jammu today and interacted with the officers and men posted there.
The main purpose was to streamline the functioning of Railway Police and making Railway Security effective and purposeful.
IGP also visited Police Station GRP Jammu and Railway Station Jammu to gain first hand knowledge of the working of Railway Police.
The IGP also reviewed the security investigation of crime and welfare of Jawans with the SDPO's and SHO's of Railway Police in Jammu Zone.
SSP Railways Jammu Raghubir Singh was also present in the said meeting who briefed the IGP about the over all working and functioning of the Railway Police.
The officers of IRP 4111 BN were also present in meeting who gave an over view of their responsibilities in guarding various bridges and culverts along the Railway Track.
The IGP shall be visiting other GRP Police stations in the next two days to understand the problems faced by the officers and men.
