NSF continues their agitation for CUJ | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 25: National Secular Forum continued their agitation for the demand of Local Vice-Chancellor on 28thconsecutive day. Amid anti-government slogans, angry students alleged that 15 Central University were sanctioned by the Central Government across the country, included one each for Jammu and Kashmir, but no Vice-Chancellor has been appointed so far for Jammu Central University as other universities have almost completed their one session.
The NSF activists led by Vikas Sharma, NSF President assembled on the Jammu University Campus and raised slogans against State and Central government for playing with career of students.
Addressing the gathering State President NSF Vikas Sharma said we do not understand the reasons behind undue delay and keep in abeyance the appointment of Vice-Chancellor when all other 15 universities established with same legislation have started functioning and have completed one session.
He also said that UPA government has granted central university to Jammu only when the people of Jammu launched a mass protest with sacrificing many lives.
He further said that while Kashmir Central University was functional despite adverse security scenario.
If the HRD minister fails in appointing local VC to the Central University of Jammu then NSF will continue protest against UPA government.
Meanwhile students from government college R S Pura, Bishnah, Samba, and Akhnoor boycotted their classes on the call given by National Secular Forum (NSF) and held massive protest demonstration against State and Central governments.
