Reasi court prosecution section damaged after PWD quarters collapse on it | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU: A wall of the prosecution section of Reasi district court complex collapsed this evening after the abandoned PWD quarters adjacent to it gave way to incessant rains and came down on it. No one was wounded in the incident which took place at about 6 pm when the court was closed after the day's work. The PWD quarters are next to the Reasi district court complex. No one lived there as these had been declared unsafe. Official sources said the quarters collapsed at about 6 pm due to heavy rains lashing the area for the past three days and the debris fell on a wall of the room housing prosection section. As the wall too gave way, its debris fell on record files and other court property. The record suffered minor damages. It was later shifted by police and court staff to the nearby cabins of advocates, according to naib-tehsildar Milkhi Ram who was among those who visited the spot. Sources said the damaged wall would be reconstructed at the earliest. |
