| Land acquisition cases on National Highway reviewed | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Jul 26: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon held a detailed review on the spot of the land acquisition cases of 4-lanning of Srinagar-Jammu National Highway and two lanning of Sinthan-Anantnag road being executed by Border Roads Organization.
Divisional Commissioner inspected the land acquisition cases on-spot from Lasjan, Rakhshalina, Kadalbal, Pampore, Lethpora, Awantipora, Chursoo, Kachach kote, Marhama, Jablipora, Pulwama, Anantnag. Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the land acquisition cases of Baramulla-Qazigund Railway line.
Dr Samoon issued instructions to Executive Engineer PHE, EM&RE and R&B for shifting of utilities within one week, so that the widening can be completed. Meanwhile some land owners complained that full amount for acquisition had not been disbursed to them. He directed NHAI to immediately release the funds to the concerned Collectors so that the compensation amount is disbursed in full to the land owners.
He also directed that wherever necessary reference should be made under section 18 of Land acquisition Act. He was accompanied by Additional Commissioner, Kashmir Abdul Majeed Mir, Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Kifayat Hussain Rizvi, Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Shafat Noor, Addl Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Mohammed Akbar Ganai, Addl Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, MA Qadri, Chief Engineer Beacon, Brigadier Rawat, Project Director NHAI Kamlinder Singh, Dy Chief Engineer Northern Railways, Ishwar Chand, Executive Engineer Railways Gurwinder Singh and District Officers of Anantnag and Pulwama. |
