Weather forecast during 27th – 31st July for Amarnath yatries | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, July 26: As per the Meteorological Department’s weather forecast for 27th July to 31st July: it would be generally cloudy on 27th July, sky is expected to remain partly cloudy on 30th – 31st July and there is a possibility of light rain/thundershower on 28th July and rain/thundershower on 29th July, 2011, in the Kashmir Division. R. K. Goyal, chief executive officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, has once again advised all those who intend to visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji to ascertain the obtaining weather conditions in the Yatra area before embarking on the pilgrimage. The details of weather forecast are available on the website of the Indian Meteorological Department, at (www.amssdelhi.gov.in). The CEO also urged all intending pilgrims to have themselves medically examined and no one with an orthopaedic problem, chest or lung ailment or any cardiac deficiency should venture to undertake the arduous Yatra, involving trekking upto 14,000 feet. Goyal said that the Yatra to the Holy Cave Shrine is progressing satisfactorily on both the Baltal and Chandanwari routes since today morning.
