| Resentment brews as media persons not invited to cover DGP’s Doda visit | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Doda, Jammu, July 26: Locals media persons associated with print as well as electronic from Doda district under the banner of Chenab Valley Journalists Association (CVJA) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Naseer Khora.
In the meeting great resentment was shown by the local media persons of Doda district for not being invited by the district police to cover the DGP’s visit at Doda before couple of days.
It was rued that only few selected media persons were invited and rest of the scribes were being ignored to the cover the important visit of DGP Kuldeep Khoda at Doda.
In this connection great resentment is brewing up among the scribes of Doda district working with print and electronic media.
The media persons have appealed Chief Minister J&K and DGP J&K to intervene into the matter and initiate an investigation in this matter so that media persons should not be ignored again.
It is also important to mention here that the local administration always ignored the local media persons especially during important occasions as when VIP’s do pay visit to this region and alleged that why only few selected media persons are invited in police as well as civil administration programmes.
However similar news is pouring from erstwhile Doda District that media person are being ignored to cover the important functions of VIPs.
