| Adbi Kunj held meet | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 26: The front ranking multilingual literary organization Adbi Kunj J&K Jammu, held an impressive poetry and Prose writing meet, at its literary centre in new Shastri Memorial Higher Secondary School, Talab Tillo, Jammu, where in literatures from all over the city participated.
The meet was presided over by well known prose writer and an old freedom fighter, Comrade Muni Lal Puri, while another known writer and poetess- Sawaranjit Kour was the special guest of the meet.
Ved Upal a singer, poet and organizer of the organization, conducted the proceeding. In the opening Sham Talib, president of the organization, described that the organization will celebrated its 36th foundation day in August 2011.
He also apprised that in the series of its continuing monthly Tarhi-Mushaira meets, in various languages, Adbi Kunj will organize its next Mushaira in Punjabi – and the Tarha-Misra for that Mushaira would be – Such – Kaina- Mainu- Jouth –Di- Aadat- Nahin – Koie” – on July 31, 2011 (Sunday) at 5 p.m. in the premises of New Shastri Memorial Higher Secondary School.
In the regular prose writing session a very sensitive Urdu write up Shamshan-Ghat was presented by Muni Lal Puri, a hindi short story Tab-Aur-Ab-read out by K L Dewana, Bhikaran presented by Sham Talib, in his Urdu short story – Zinda- Lash, and another Punjabi short story Pathreeli Rooh was also readout by Swaranjit Kour.
These were highly discussed and appreciated by the participant. The poetic session stared with a famous Punjabi Ghazal of a well known Punjabi poet Parshan Singh Sharaf, which was sang by Ved Upal, in his own tune. The Ghazal as Mainu-Hai-Yad-Anda-Tere-Begair-Pattan- Tare-Hi- Geet-Ganda-Tere-Begair-Patan”.
