IGP Jammu reviews ID arrangements | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JULY 26: Inspector General of Police Jammu Mr. Dilbag Singh today chaired a meeting of civil and police officers to review the arrangements for Independence Day 2011function in Jammu. The meeting held detailed deliberations on the events proposed to be held at the function, besides security and other arrangements at the venue of function for the convenience of the participants. The meeting was also informed about the deployment of security and the arrangements made for the regulation of traffic in the city for the day in general and around the venue of function in particular. The IG stressed for making fool proof security armaments to keep vigil on the anti-social and anti-national elements. He asked the police officers to remain alert and extra vigilant, to ensure law and order. He also inquired about the power, drinking water and sanitation arrangements to be made at the venue and asked the concerned departments to work in close synergy to ensure that the participants may not face any problem. . Among others IG Armed Mr. A. K. Chowdhary, DIG, Jammu-Kathua Range Farooq Khan, DIG CID Mr. Sunil Sharma, DIG Armed Johnny William, DIG Kamal Saini, SSP Jammu Mr. Anand Jain besides officers of various civil departments, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Sheetal Nanda and Joint Director Information Mr. Soujanya Sharma, Joint Director Hospitality Mr. Shoba Ram, Joint Commissioner Municipality Mr. Babu Ram, attended the meeting.
