| K-interlocutors to submit final report in Sept | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, July 26 (KNS): The three member Kashmir interlocutor team will submit the final report to the Centre in September, sources told KNS.
The team comprising of noted journalist Dilip Padgaonkar, academician Radha Kumar and former Chief Information Commissioner M M Ansari, have made 10 visits to Jammu and Kashmir and covered 18 of the 22 districts.
However, the interlocutors have failed to meet separatist leaders since their appointment last October. Only former chairman of Hurriyat (M) and a prominent Shia leader Maulana Abbas Ansari met the interlocutors but in his personal capacity.
Radha confirmed to KNS that they would submit the final report by ending September. “We have met people in 18 out of 22 districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Now only four districts are left which we would cover in our next visit,” she told KNS over phone from New Delhi. |
