| Meeting of Sub Committee on Environment held | | 589 Industrial units in Jammu issued NOC | | Jammu, Nov 29
A meeting of the Sub-Committee on Environment was held here in the lobby of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly under the Chairmanship of Sofi Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din MLA.
Legislators Mr. Sarfraz Khan and Mrs Kanta Andhotra, besides Regional Director Pollution Control Board (PCB) and senior officers of the legislative secretariat attended the meeting.
The meeting deliberated upon the issuance of No Objections Certificates to the industrial units in the state. On the occasion, rules and regulations being followed by the pollution control Board in setting up the various industrial units were discussed in detail.
Chairman of the Committee emphasized on the concerned authorities to ascertain prescribed criteria on ground level while issuing the No Objection Certificates and asked to monitor the implementation of guidelines strictly. He stressed to ensure that the required certificates are issued by the competent authorities.
Regional Director PCB gave details of the procedure being adopted while issuing the requisite certificates to the unit holders in the state. He informed that No Objection Certificates for establishing 589 industrial |
