DFCCIL achieves 100 percent land acquisition | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 26: DFCCIL has achieved 100 percent land acquisition in Jaipur project area of Dedicated Freight Corridor. The milestone of 100% land acquisition has been achieved for Jaipur project territory in June 2011. A total of 1063.53 hectares of land has been acquired spanning over 268 Kms. from Khori in Haryana to Madar in Rajasthan. In this area, DFCC passes through Rewari and Mahendragarh districts of Haryana and Alwar, Jaipur, Seekar, Naugaur and Ajmer districts of Rajasthan. The process of land acquisition started in February 2009, which is completed over 28 months i.e. in slightly less than 2½ years. The total compensation is Rs. 190 crores for the declared awards out of which, 91 crores have already been disbursed and further disbursement is progressing well. Land acquisition of 1063.53 hectares has been possible with active cooperation and excellent support from State Governments of Haryana and Rajasthan and their officials at every step of the acquisition. The milestone of land acquisition now leads to the second stage of awarding of the contracts on Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. The pre-qualification process of awarding the contracts for Section I and II of Phase-I of Western DFC from Rewari to Palanpur is in advance stage. The contracts for civil construction are likely to be awarded by March 2012.
