| Madan exhorts people to cooperate in development process | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JULY 26- Member Parliament Mr. Madan Lal Sharma urged upon the people to come forward to participate in development process by monitoring the developmental works in their respective areas.
Mr. Sharma said this while addressing public meetings at Shanti Nagar and Janipur areas this evening.
Among others, Vice Chairman Advisory Board for OBC, Mr. Kuldeep Raj Verma, prominent citizens of the concerned wards, sectoral officers besides largely drawn gathering attended the meetings.
Member Parliament listened the grievances of the people and issued on spot instruction to the accompanying officers for redressal of these problems at the earliest.
Speaking at largely drawn gathering at Talab Tillo, Mr. Sharma said that the issue of Central University is of vital importance and assured that he will take up the matter of Central University at Jammu and appointment of Vice Chancellor with the central government so that one more session may not get lapsed. He also assured full support out of his Local Area Development Fund for mitigating various problems of the people in these areas.
He said that UPA Government headed by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has been providing liberal funding to the State so that various development projects have been executed completed in a stipulated time frame. He asked the people to avail benefit of various state and centrally sponsored schemes like MGNREGA, Widow Pension schemes, etc.
