JAMMU, July 27: Two day training of trainers programme for nodal officers from different degree colleges across the Jammu Region organised by Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) concluded at JKEDI Jammu campus.
This was second in the series of two regional TOTs organized by JKEDI to acquaint the officers with the basic and other parameters of the Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS) and therefore enable educated unemployed youth to reap the full benefits of the SCFS. First in the series was held on 18 of his month at JKEDI Pampore campus which was attended by eleven nodal officers representing degree colleges across the Kashmir region.
TOT is part of the Institute’s collaborative effort in accordance to which the Institute is teaming up with degree colleges so as to put across the message of the Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS) to the wide audience and introduce the Scheme in far flung and backward areas across the state.
In collaboration with these colleges the Institute is conducting Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs). This is to provide an excellent opportunity to the educated unemployed youth falling under the catchment area of these colleges to take benefits of the Scheme.
Speaking on the valedictory function, Prof. Rajinder Mishra, JKEDI Chief faculty said, “In the 21st century’s rapidly changing and highly competitive environment, the concept of entrepreneurship becomes clearly a central element because it empowers youth to succeed and identify, exploit and utilize fully resource endowments available throughout the state.”
At the end of the programme, the teachers agreed, "Only entrepreneurship will lead us to prosperity in the end.”
The orientation programme was attended by 12 professors, Associate professors and Assistant professors representing eleven different degree colleges across the Jammu region.
