90 farmers leave for study tour to valley

A group of 90 farmers of the district on a week- long study tour to Kashmir valley were flagged off here today. The tour has been sponsored under Technology Mission.
During the tour, farmers will be taken to high- density plantation areas and to Horticulture farm, Zanipura where they would be imparted practical training of horticulture activities on modern techniques so that after completing training they become experts in the horticulture sector.
Earlier, Director Horticulture, MS Qasba in his message has asked the farmers to interact with the leading horticulturists and scientists of SKUAST to get acquainted about the new techniques of farming.
