JPFOA submit memorandum listing demands to CS

JAMMU, NOV 29
J&K, Joint Platform of Action (JPFOA), an employees’ organization today submitted a memorandum to the Chief Secretary through the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu for observing a strike on December 14 throughout the state in support of their demands as well as showing their solidarity with the working class of the country.
The major demands put forth by the employees include simultaneous implementation of the recommendations of the 6th Pay Commission in the state, grant Rs.1000 as interim relief, restoration of pension scheme for state employees, stopping privatization of the government departments and public sector units, enhancing the interest rate of GP Fund and other saving schemes, increase in the income tax ceiling up to Rs. two lakh, stopping anti-working class and pro-imperialist economic policies, proper maintenance of GP Fund accounts, regularization of all daily wagers who have completed 5-7 years of service, grant of 15 per cent dislocation allowance to employees posted outside their homes, revival of LTC and enhancement in retirement age from 58 to 60 years.
