| Birth centenary of Gowalkar celebrated | | |

On the occasion of birth centenary of Guru ji (Prof Madhav Rao Gowalkar, second chief patron of RSS) and Silver Jubilee of Sanskar Bharti a cultural program was organized at Abhinav Theatre here today. The program was held on the subject of Guru Ji, RSS and the contemporary scenario. Inderesh Kumar, the member of central committee of Rashtriya Syawamsevak Sangh was the prominent orator on the occasion. The program was attended by Sangh cadre of Jammu province along with their families.
The program started with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest followed by a patriotic song by the children. A poetry recital program was also a part of the program apart from speech of Indresh Kumar.
While making his speech, Indresh emphasized upon the role of Sangh since independence. He also laid stress upon the ideology of Guru ji and appealed the gathering to learn from his simple living and love for the motherland.
The program concluded with the Vande Matram. Vote of thanks was given by Krishan Anand, state president Sanskar Bharti.
