| Ensure regular supply of electric power to farmers : Hari Singh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Vijaypur, July 28: Thakur Hari Singh-vice president PCC toured Vijaypur, Randwan and Nandpur areas of Vijaypur constituency and took stock of the problems of people.
Singh said that the inhabitants of these areas are facing great hardships due to long scheduled and unscheduled cuts in the power supply.
The electric poles and wires are in bad condition. Many poles have been damaged and fallen on the ground. The wires are broken and the electric supply remains disrupted for hours together on the name of maintenance, besides the long scheduled cuts remain intact.
This power failure is directly affecting the farmers, as they fail to run their pump sets to irrigate their paddy crop and they have been left on the mercy of God.
Hari Singh urged upon the Power Development Department to take appropriate action to ensure regular supply of electric power to the farmers of Vijaypur constituency in this paddy harvesting season.
PCC leader also expressed concern over the unemployment problem. He said that there is great resentment among the youth due to unemployment, especially in rural areas He demanded special employment package for the youth of border area of Vijaypur.
Congress leaders of the area Rashpal Choudhary, Raghbir Sharma, Vijay Choudhary Chuarmal, Darwara Singh and Charnjit Singh accompanied Hari Singh inthe tour.
