8 injured in Manjakote mishap, locals irked over non availability of Ambulance | Accident victims packed in Animal's Truck in Rajouri | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, July 28 : Following tragic accident of last Tuesday in which 8 people died and 7 injured, another mishap took place in Manjakote area in which 8 passengers were injured who were shifted in an Animal's Tata Mobile truck to District Hospital Rajouri as Ambulance in the local Hospital was out. As per reports, 8 persons were injured among one seriously in a road mishap at Katarmal Manjakote. According to the injured persons, driver was drunkard and he was not comfortably driving the vehicle which became main reason behind the mishap. As per sources, following the accident, local people contacted Manajkote Hospital for ambulance but according to them the Ambulance was out which forced the residents to load these injured people in a Tata Mobile Truck which was often used to transport animals from one place to another. Sources said that the Ambulance of Manjakote area remain always out on some other works and nobody is monitoring its functioning, locals said adding that an enquiry should be initiated against the Block Medical Officer for non availability of Ambulance in the area following the accident happened. Meanwhile injured person namely Sanam Begum, Lal Hussain, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Mohammad Jameel, Shamim Akhter, Mohammad Shabir, Gulzara Begum and Mohammad Aslam all residents of Poonch district were shifted to District Hospital Rajouri for treatment.
