| Kishtwar Police turns social, Solemnized marriage of Orphan Girl. | | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Kishtwar July 28: Kishtwar Police in order to increase social contacts, today solemnized marriage of a poor orphan girl namely Salma Banoo daughter of late Lassa Butt Resident Berwar Kishtwar with Mohammad Iqbal son Ghulam Ahmed Ganaie resident of Horna Drubeel Kishtwar. The marriage of above mentioned girl was fixed by her mother with Mohammad Iqbal and she required the monetary help to arrange the marriage. Pertinent to mention that her father passed away about 4/5 years back in tragic accident while he was doing labourers Job. She has no brother, no uncle, but only a small sister and mother.Kishtwar Police under CAP(Civic Action Plan) provided marriage articles including rice, oil, pulses and other food stuffs and clothing, bedding and blankets worth Rs 20,000/- on the requirements provided by the mother of Salma Banoo. Police officers Addl. SP Kishtwar, Dy. SP DAR Kishtwar and several other Police personnel’s attended the marriage. The local have appreciated the goodwill gesture of Police. In future Kishtwar police also plann to arrange more marriages of poor and orphan girls under CAP. .
