| Police reviews arrangements for Jashan-e-Dal | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Jul 28: Jammu and Kashmir Police is organizing three day mega sports festival ‘’Jashan-e-Dal’’ in Dal Lake, Srinagar in which more than 600 athletics are participating.
The festival will start on July 29, 2011 and the prize distribution ceremony would be held on July 31 at Nehru Park. Arrangements for the festival were reviewed at a meeting of senior police officers which was chaired by the Additional Director General of Police, Armed/Law & Order (ADGP) K. Rajendra Kumar here this morning.
Addressing the meeting, Rajendra said that JKP has always been in the forefront for promoting adventure sports especially water sports because of natural advantages we have in terms of natural water bodies. These events provides to the participants to demonstrate their skills in the field of water games.
The meeting discussed various arrangements for smooth and successful conduct of 3-day event and sought reports from the committees constituted to make various arrangements for the event. The meeting was told that necessary arrangements with regard to security in and around the venue and other police arrangements were reviewed at various levels.
