Independence Day arrangements at Basantgarh finalized

BASANTGARH, Jul 28: A meeting was held today at Basantgarh under the Chairpersonship of Sub Divisional Magistrate Amit Sharma to discuss and finalize arrangements for upcoming 65th Independence Day Function which is to be held at Sub Divisional Headquarters located at Basantgarh on August 15 this year.
The employees of various government departments including Police and Para Military Forces, local Sarpanchs and prominent citizens also participated in this meeting in which various important decisions regarding the celebration of Independence Day all across Dudu Basantgarh were discussed.
It was decided that the main function of the Sub-Division shall be held at Government Higher Secondary School Complex Basantgarh as per past practice in which flag hoisting ceremony shall take place followed by March past parade and cultural items to be presented by school children and local troupes.
It was also disclosed during the meeting by SDM Amit Sharma that all those employees who are diligent and maintain integrity while performing their duties in Sub Division shall also be given appreciation certificates during the Independence Day function so as to encourage others to imitate them and contribute more fruitfully in Dudu Basantgarh for its holistic growth and development.
It was also decided that an ‘At Home’ shall also be organized on the Sub Divisional Headquarters located at Basantgarh on the evening of I-Day function. Another important decision taken during the meeting was regarding hoisting of national flag and illumination of various government Buildings and markets of entire Dudu Basantgarh in the evenings consecutively for three days i.e., August 14, 15 and 16 so that to commemorate the celebrations and exhibit festive atmosphere here during these days.
SDM Amit Sharma especially impressed upon the security forces to maintain strict vigil and enhance the level of security arrangements in different nooks and corners under their respective jurisdictions.
