| Weather forecast: Possibility of rain/thundershowers during next 2 days | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, July 28: As per the Meteorological Department’s weather forecast for 29th July to 2nd August: there is a possibility of light rain/thundershowers on 29th – 30th July and sky is expected to remain generally cloudy on 31st July and partly cloudy on 1st – 2nd August, 2011, in the Kashmir Division.
R. K. Goyal, Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, has once again advised all those who intend to visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji to ascertain the obtaining weather conditions in the Yatra area before embarking on the pilgrimage. The details of weather forecast are available on the website of the Indian Meteorological Department, at (www.amssdelhi.gov.in).
The CEO also urged all intending pilgrims to have them medically examined and no one with an orthopaedic problem, chest or lung ailment or any cardiac deficiency should venture to undertake the arduous Yatra, involving trekking upto 14,000 feet.
Goyal said that the Yatra to the Holy Cave Shrine is progressing satisfactorily on both the Baltal and Chandanwari routes since today morning.
