| Implement Mandal Commission Recommendation in J&K: Master Chamanlal | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 28: The Akhit Kashop Mohasangh at a two day conference of its workers held at Nagrota Bagwa near Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh urged upon both state and central Governments to unployment the re-commendations in full of Mandal Commission.
Addressing the workers on the occasion vice president of Maha sangh master Chaman Lal Dogra, who was the chief Guest, said the J&K Government is not in favour of implementing the recommendations of Mandal Commission in the state. He said formers chief minister, late Sheikh Mohd Abdullah in 1976 promised that people of OBC Category will the uplifted and will the given number of Incentives, but the promise of late leader was neglected by all the successive Governments and the recommendation for 27% reservation for OBC category is thrown in cold storage. He said even apex court has also ordered to implement the recommendation of Commission in the state.
Dogra also warned the state Government of mass demonstration of the demands of OBC is not met. He said told population of OBC in the state is nearly 20 Lakhs.
