Omar seeks peace at Chadoora Breaches it at SMHS hospital | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 28: When Omar was seeking peace for enabling him to `solve 'peoples' problems at Chadoora, people lost their cool outside SMHS hospital in the heart of summer capital today. They were protesting two deaths caused `due to negligence' of doctors. According to reports, Chief Minister's Political Advisor, Davinder Singh Rana was hospitalized for a minor ailment in the hospital. Governor and the Chief Minister visited the hospital to enquire about the health of Rana. Chief Minister's visit conveyed to the medicos where they were needed. This made the difference. While all the medicos were attending Rana, two patients died for want of treatment. The deaths evoked severe response from the people. They registered protest and raised slogans against the government. The police intervened but failed to pacify the angry protesters. The police did not allow media persons to enter the hospital. Media persons later registered their protest. "Give me peace, I will strive to get all issues resolved and take its benefits to every household", Omar said while addressing the gathering at Chadoora. But he did the reverse today. To ensure proper treatment to his advisor, Omar spilled gloom for two households. Omar welcomed the dialogue between India and Pakistan. While appreciating the efforts of the two countries to further strengthen the Jammu and Kashmir related Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) particularly expanding the orbit of cross LoC bus service and extending its benefits to the visitors and pilgrims, the Chief Minister strongly advocated for strengthening the cross LoC trade between two parts of Jammu and Kashmir by converting it from present barter trade into a normal banking supported trade activity. |
