| Function held to celebrate Foundation Day of party | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 29: In connection with the foundation day of the party, an impressive function was held at office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Jammu in which all the senior leaders of the party were present.
Speaking on the occasion, party leaders said that since its formation PDP has been pursuing the policy of peace and development in the State and it was result of the policies of the PDP that peace has been restored in this region to some extent.
Pointing towards joining of large number of people in the party during since its formation, PDP leaders said that PDP has been emerged as biggest political force in the State.
“Result of the 2008 assembly elections was a clear indication that this party has emerged as big force in the political scene of the State”, they said and made it clear that PDP has secured more votes than National Conference in Kashmir Valley.
Since its inception PDP has been advocating that dialogue is the only mean to solve Kashmir problem. “In a span of just three years, PDP led regime translated its pro-peace reconciliatory policies into reality and convinced both India and Pakistan to take effective steps for restoration of peace in the sub-region”, they said.
Trilok Singh Bajwa, Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin, Shanti Devi, Falail Singh, Jagjit Singh Jagga, R K Bali, Suram Singh and others addressed the function.
