Bhalla visits Jawahar Nagar, reviews basic amenities | | | JAMMU, JULY 29-Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Mr. Raman Bhalla today said Government has earmarked Rs. 3.26 crore for construction of 25000 gallon discharge capacity deep drill tube well at Babliana village to meet the requirement of drinking water facilities at Jeevan Nagar, Ajeet Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Poonchi Mohalla and Narwal Pain. Adding that instruction were issued to PHE authorities to lay water supply pipes in the uncovered areas of the localities. The Minister was addressing a large gathering at Jawahar Nagar in old Satwari, here today. Mr. Bhalla said Government is taking several innovative measures for developing all the peripheries of the State with better infrastructural facilities including adequate drinking water, road connectivity, electricity, hospitals, schools besides better lanes and drains. Responding to the people’s demands, the Minister asked PDD to install one more 250 KVA transformer in Jawahar Nagar area so that uninterrupted and improved power supply in Narwal Pain, Poonchi Mohalla and Jawahar Nagar could be provided. Regarding pension benefits to widow, old aged and physically challenged, he asked to submit the list of beneficiaries so that the remuneration could be disbursed among them. On the demand of the people of Jawahar Nagar and Narwal Pain, Mr. Bhalla asked the concerned department to prepare estimate for construction of lanes and drains and submit the same for funding so that the construction works could be started after completing all codal formalities.
