| Bakra murder mystery nearly solved, two accused arrested from Delhi | | |

The recent murder case in Trikuta Nagar area of city in which once gangster Sanjay Gupta alias Bakra was shot dead in broad day light, police today claimed to have solved the case by arresting the main accused Rajesh Dogra alias Mohan Jhir and his accomplice Vishal Singh alias Vicky Thakur from Delhi. Both the accused are being brought to Jammu for sustained interrogation. With the arrest of two accused, the Police claimed that it has solved the murder mystery within a record time of four days.
It is to mention here that entire police team of Jammu comprising SP South Zahid Manhas, SDPO East Mamta Sharma, Atul Goel Bhimsen Tuti, Inspector Parshotam Kumar Mangi, SHO Jamipur SS Baloria and SI Maqsood Bhat were assigned the task to work out the case.
SSP Jammu Mukersh Sing h told media persons that the weapon recovered from the murder spot had direct links with the involvement of Mohan Jhir. Furthermore, special police team worked on the evidences based on vehicle involved and the weapon in the offence identified the persons who had supplied the weapons of the offence to the accused. Working on the details of telephone records by the team the accused were followed in various parts of Jammu.
He said that on 27th evening a team comprising of Atul Goel, Bhimsen Tlui and Maqsood Bhat was dispatched to Jallandhar to trace out the accused and after collecting evidences search various parts of Jallandhar city with the help of local police there were able to track the accused towards Delhi. In the meanwhile Inspector SS Baloria SHO P/S Janipur picked up some other suspects in the case and found the address of a close associate of Manmohan Jir in Delhi and the team following the telephone calls rushed to Delhi and were able to trace out the accused. He said with the help of Delhi Police, both the accused were arrested and are being brought to Jammu for sustained interrogation.
Meanwhile the sources said that, police is suspecting the involvement of three more persons including a girl who has been absconding in this sensational murder case. Sources added that during the investigations, police has come to know that the personal legal weapon of the slain gangster Bakra is lying with one of the murderers namely Sonu a resident of Samba. As per the information of colleagues, Bakra used to carry a weapon along with him wherever he used to go and Sonu fled away with the weapon after committing his murder. It has also been ascertained by the postmortem report that Bakra was attacked with two different guns one of 12 bore and the second was that of his own.
Sources said that a special police team is in Samba and is searching the mountainous area of Samba where Sonu is supposed to be hiding. In the meantime, Police are also interrogating one Pala, a resident of Fatu Chowgan..
Sources added that Sonu and Palla are believed to have used the weapons in the murder case.
SSP said that the links of the accused in Jammu as well as outside are being ascertained and all those involved in the case will be arrested soon adding that the mystery was solved after it succeeded in arresting a former aide of Bakra and one of his accomplice allegedly involved in the murder in posh Trikuta Nagar locality on Saturday last.
