Madan asks officers to formulate need-based schemes

JAMMU, July 29:Taking forward his mass contact programme, Member Parliament Jammu–Poonch Constituency Madan Lal Sharma today addressed a series of public meetings at Gole Gujjral, Lower Rehari and Janipur.
Speaking on the occasion, the Member Parliament said that Government of India has launched many schemes for Rural and Urban Poor and emphasized the need of massive awareness about of these Schemes so that people could obtain maximum benefit out of these schemes.
He asked the people to avail benefit of various state and centrally sponsored schemes to uplift their living standard. He directed the officers to prepare more projects which he will pursue and get sanctioned.
He also directed the officers to ensure quality work and formulate new development projects on need basis. He also sanctioned some amount from his MP Lads Fund for various works of dire need.
The MP also reviewed the people’s grievances and demands at different public meetings so that these could be taken up at an appropriate level for their redressal at the earliest. He said that government is endeavouring a lot in fulfilling the requirements and aspirations of the people of the state and appealed the people to supplement government’s efforts of better development.
The MP said that the state is progressing day by day in every field of development due to the liberal funding being provided by the Centre Government.
On the occasion, the people of the area projected various demands and problems like water scarcity, unscheduled power cuts and early repair of roads and lanes damaged by sewerage works being conducted by ERA in the area.
